Guidelines for Using the DOKI! DOKI! Anime Market Brand

These guidelines are designed to ensure the proper use of DOKI! DOKI! Anime Market’s brand assets, including logos, copyrights, and content, when covering press events or promoting your participation in any related activities. Should you wish to apply our marks on products (such as exhibitor exclusives) or in any way not covered by these guidelines, please contact us at dokidokianimemarket@gmail.com and provide a visual mockup of your intended usage.

Please ensure that our marks are not altered or used in a way that could lead to confusion, particularly by suggesting any form of endorsement or affiliation with DOKI! DOKI! Anime Market or mistakenly associating our brand with others.

DO:

  • Use only the official, unaltered logos when representing the DOKI! DOKI! Anime Market brand for approved uses.
  • Maintain sufficient buffer space around the logo to preserve its clarity and visibility.

DON'T:

  • Change the logo's colors, apply effects, or modify them in any way.
  • Use our marks in a manner that could create confusion, including combining them with another brand.
  • Use other logos or marks to represent our brand.
  • Use any DOKI! DOKI! Anime Market mascots (like Aishi, Teru, or others) or artwork for any purposes.

Fan-Site & Fan Use Guidelines

DOKI! DOKI! Events Private Limited (referred to as “DOKI! DOKI! Events,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) greatly values the creativity and enthusiasm of our community. To protect our brand and clarify usage, we’ve established this policy outlining the appropriate use of our copyrights, including those related to “DOKI! DOKI! Events,” “DOKI! DOKI! Anime Market,” and other related assets. These guidelines help avoid confusion between official DOKI! DOKI! Events websites or social media accounts and fan-created content.

You may use our copyrights for personal, non-commercial websites or social media accounts (referred to as “Fan Sites”), provided you comply with the guidelines below. Note that these guidelines may be updated periodically.

Additionally, DOKI! DOKI! Events cannot grant permission to use third-party content, including materials showcased at events or the publicity rights of exhibitors, guests, or panelists. You must contact content owners directly for such permissions.

Your Site Must Acknowledge Our Copyrights:

  • Your Fan Site must clearly state that the copyrights are owned by DOKI! DOKI! Events Private Limited and used with permission. The site must also clarify that it is not an official site or affiliated with, nor endorsed by DOKI! DOKI! Events.

Your Site Must Clearly Differentiate Itself:

  • URLs must indicate the site is a fan site (e.g., "www.ilovedokidokianimemarket.com") and not an official DOKI! DOKI! Events website. Avoid domain names too similar to our copyrights or proprietary domains; we may take action if confusion arises.
  • The Fan Site cannot be commercial in nature, such as selling products or promoting services.
  • Do not alter, animate, or modify any logo or copyright in any form. Such modifications could create confusion regarding the ownership or affiliation of the site or account. Additionally, ensure your logo doesn’t resemble any DOKI! DOKI! Events logo or copyright in terms of font style or color.

Your Fan Site Must Not:

  • Use our copyrights to advertise any products, services, or businesses.
  • Feature inappropriate content such as offensive language, violence, or explicit material.
  • Reference illegal activities, alcohol, or drugs.
  • Include derogatory remarks about race, gender, religion, disabilities, sexual orientation, or other protected groups.
  • Make any political statements or associations.
  • Alter or animate our logos or copyrights or incorporate them into your own logo. If your logo uses the same style or colors as any of our trademarks, this could lead to confusion about ownership.
  • Use any of our copyrights in your social media handles or account names (on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter) without making it clear that the account is fan-operated. The account description must state that it is unaffiliated with, and not endorsed or approved by DOKI! DOKI! Events.

Additional Considerations:

We appreciate the passion of our fans and are happy that you enjoy and share content about our events. However, if you plan to monetize your Fan Site, either through subscriptions, access fees, or advertising revenue, you will need to enter into a licensing agreement with us.

DOKI! DOKI! Events does not grant any rights to its copyrights outside of what is described in these guidelines, and these guidelines do not grant you rights to other intellectual property, such as program materials or content. We reserve the right to take action against any site we deem to have inappropriate or objectionable content.

Piracy Policy

DOKI! DOKI! Events Private Limited (referred to as “DOKI! DOKI! Events,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is fully committed to safeguarding intellectual property rights and preventing the sale of counterfeit, pirated, or infringing content at our events. We enforce a strict policy to protect against violations of copyright, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, and privacy or publicity rights—collectively referred to as “Infringing Content.” If you spot any vendor or product in violation of these policies, please report it to our on-site staff immediately.

We offer a simple process for addressing these issues, which will be handled promptly during the event:

  1. Notify on-site staff and complete an Infringement Claim Form (the “Claim”).
  2. Verify that you are the Rights Holder of the Infringing Content or an authorized agent of the Rights Holder.
  3. Accompany staff to the vendor’s booth and point out the infringing items.
  4. If you hold the rights, you can issue a takedown notice to the vendor.
  5. The vendor must provide proof of the legal right to sell each item listed in the Claim.
  6. If we determine, at our discretion, that Infringing Content is present, we may remove or confiscate the items, or require the vendor to cease selling them.
  7. If the vendor does not comply, DOKI! DOKI! Events reserves the right to expel them from the event.

While we work hard to prevent Infringing Content and cooperate with Rights Holders and law enforcement to address such violations, we cannot assume responsibility for policing or enforcing intellectual property rights at the event.

We also cannot be held liable for Infringing Content or failure to identify or remove it.
